This class is perfect for dogs who are easily distracted, overly excitable, or just need a little help learning how to focus. Through engaging pattern and attention games, we teach dogs how to manage their energy, stay calm, and stay connected to their humans—even in distracting environments.
These fun, low-pressure exercises are designed to strengthen the bond between you and your dog while encouraging focus, calmness, and engagement. We work on skills like checking in, choosing to be by your side, and staying attentive—even when the world around them is buzzing.
Whether you have a young pup, a high-energy adolescent, or a newly adopted adult dog, this class is a great fit for building a foundation of trust and connection.

May 10th to June 14th
8 weeks to 16 weeks
Cost: $160
Puppyhood is an exciting and crucial stage of development, and starting off on the right paw makes all the difference. At this age, everything is new—and sometimes a little overwhelming—for your pup. That’s why our class focuses on thoughtful, structured socialization to help them feel safe, confident, and curious as they explore the world around them.
In a calm and controlled environment, we gently introduce your puppy to new sights, sounds, people, dogs, and other novel experiences. This early exposure lays the foundation for a well-adjusted, happy adult dog.
To keep everyone safe, all puppies must have begun their vaccination schedule before attending class. We can’t wait to meet your pup and help them grow into their best self!

dog reactive and anxious which led Magen to learn several behavior modification training protocols and pattern games. Her youngest dog has taught her the value of patience and slowing down, building trust with your dog, and working from a place of consent, cooperation, and compassion.
Magen spent a decade as a college professor and test prep teacher and tutor. She also tutored students while in high school and undergrad. She loves coaching and teaching humans as much as she loves working with dogs, which is vital since most of dog training is training humans to train their own dogs.
Magen is a member of The Pet Professional Guild and is a Force-Free and LIMA compliant trainer. She is also Pet CPR and First Aid Certified!
Magen’s first dog training experience was in the mid 1990s when she was in her early teens. Her family became puppy raisers for future service dogs for the blind. Magen attended training classes with the future service dog, was actively involved in training outside of classes, and brought him to school with her. Her family continued to raise future service dog puppies, providing her with a solid dog training foundation she continued to build on when she adopted her own dogs.
Magen currently has two dogs, who are very different from each other and have helped her grow substantially as a trainer. Her oldest dog is
